It is with great sadness that I announce that I am stepping down as chair of the Mysterium Committee.  My family and work commitments have become far too demanding to allow me to spend the time and energy necessary to give the attention that Mysterium and its attendees deserve.

I hope that Mysterium continues to attract MRD fans from all over the world in the spirit of gathering.  I will continue to attend Mysteria as I am able, and I hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Please note that there will be no members of the Mysterium Committee present at Mysterium.  There are no Cyantists or other "official" personnel attending Mysterium.  Please make your plans accordingly.

The Mysterium 2007 Committee is pleased to announce the group hotel for 2007!  We have selected the Comfort Inn at 2815 Santa Monica Blvd.

The hotel has generously given us a 15% discount on rooms for the dates of July 20 and 21, meaning that a room reservation is about $126.65 (plus 14% hotel tax).

However, the hotel will only honor this discount until around 30 rooms remain vacant, so it is imperative that you make your reservations ASAP!  Currently around 40 rooms are available.

Reservations can be made either by calling the hotel at (310) 828-5517 or by going to their website.  In order to get our special 15% discount rate, you must mention the offer "Code 2120".  This code is applicable toward rooms with 1 king size bed or 2 queen size beds.

Once again, please make sure you reserve ASAP.  We look forward to seeing you there!

In order to give us an idea of how many people will be attending Mysterium, we are asking everyone to fill out a registration form. If you are planning to attend the event, please go to http://www.mystmakers.org/mysterium/forum/ and fill out the form. You can also register if you are not planning to attend. If your information changes, please remember to go back and update your registration. Thanks for your help!

We are pleased to congratulate both Purple Penguin for the and Claire Hummel for designing the winning images for the Mysterium 2007 Tshirts!

Purple Penguin did a marvelous rendition of the falling man on a star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, while Claire Hummel's outstanding drawing of Yeesha is sure to draw attention!  Both designs are proudly displayed on the official Mysterium Tshirts, available now at our cafepress store.

Again, thanks to Purple Penguin and Claire Hummel for submitting your wonderful artwork for Mysterium this year. We couldn't do it without you!

We are pleased to announce that Mysterium 2007 will be held the weekend of
July 20 - 22.  This is especially exciting this year because it falls on the
weekend before Comic Con, allowing interested people to stay longer after
Mysterium and attend both events should they choose.

There is no connection between Mysterium and Comic Con.  The Mysterium
Committee neither endorses nor opposes Comic Con.

We are all excited that Mysterium 2007 will be held in sunny southern California, but what should we wear? Something cool, of course. T-shirts would be ideal. That means it's time again to hold the Mysterium Tshirt contest!

If you would like to submit a design for this year's T-shirt, please send your graphic in jpeg form to mysterium@wi.rr.com by March 15, 2007. You may email as many submissions as you like. We will be needing an 8"x10" or larger design for the shirt back and a smaller pocket logo for the shirt front. We are accepting logos in full colour for both designs this year. Please make sure your front design incorporates the falling man logo found at http://home.wi.rr.com/scraper/falling_man.jpg  The back design may also incorporate the falling man logo, but this is not a requirement. All submissions become property of Cyan Worlds, Inc.
