Step One: Laying the cards out on the table.
To provide an accurate estimate for your site we need to discuss:
1. The highpoints you would like to cover with your site. This will help determine the content, and the number of different titled pages that will be on your site. Another consideration is the amount of photographs required for each page, more than eight on a page will really slow download time.
2. Your color preferences, any theme ideas, a general layout, and choice of Level I or II style. You can get some pretty good ideas of what you might like to include by Viewing Websites I have created.
3. You must have a home page account that provides 5 Megabytes of space for your website. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) must support Microsoft Front Page and Uploading data via FTP. You will need to contact your ISP for their FTP Upload Protocol, which is your Host name/Address, your User ID, your Password and what your URL (website address) will be. This information will allow me to upload your site to the WWW. A simple phone call from you to your ISP will quickly gather all the information we need.
4. At this time I will provide an estimated cost to you. Pretty painless so far, eh?Step Two: Your Job
1. You will provide all written text including any URL addresses to be used as links within your text. All graphics, photographs, or other scanned images can be sent to: rumford@wi.rr.com in an electronic format, either as a jpeg or gif. Text may be sent either in Microsoft Word or with email. If you feel you are unable to scan photos clearly or do not have a scanner available to you scanning can be done by Rumford Web Design on a per/hour basis.
2. At this time we will provide a final cost to you and if you agree we require a 50% deposit.Step Three: Creating your Design and getting the OK from you.
1. Rumford Web Design will create your home page (first page of website) for your review and load it to our temporary site. With your approval, Rumford Web Design will finish the rest of the pages of your site.
2. Rumford Web Design will preview all your pages in two browsers, Netscape and Internet Explorer, which will minimize user viewing problems.Step Four: You like it, so now what is next?
1. You review your site and if required final changes will be made.
2. Your final payment is due.
3. Rumford Web Design will load your files to your web browser and send you a disk with your files.

| * Please note that a page may have up to 8 photos. Beyond 8 photos, a new page must be created. For example, if you have 18 kittens you would like to feature on your Kittens page, you will need 3 pages, Kittens I, Kittens II, and Kittens III. Having more than 8 photos on one page will frustrate the viewer, and many will leave your website while waiting for these long downloads. | |||||||||||
