The N9UUR station is built into a spare room in our home. This room is used as office and HAM shack. Over the years it has evolved into quite an involved space. My wife Jeananne is also a HAM (N9VSV) and computer enthusiast, so one computer (or laptop, or HAM rig etc.) is not enough.
Currently there are about 6 computers running in the house. We use Windows and MAC machines. All of the computers are networked together over a 100Base local LAN. The Shop computer monitors a HP3801A "GPS Disciplined Oscillator" running 24/7 that supplies a time server to all the PC's on the LAN, and a 10MHz reference standard to all the test gear on the bench. We are connected to the Internet via a Road Runner cable modem. My shack computer has an extra serial card installed giving me 4 serial communications ports to connect to all the radios, TNC's rotors and other misc HAM gear.

The station is primarily built for VHF/UHF weak signal / Phase 3 (high Moyan orbit) satellite work. The main rig is a Yeasu FT-847, and a FT-736R loaded with modules for 144, 220, 440 and 1.2 GHz. The antennas are M2 beams mounted on a Yeasu 5400 EL/AZ rotor. I also have a Diamond 510 for Vertical and FM work. Digital modes are supported by TNC's from Clement, PICO, Kantronics, and AEA. 9600 baud Packet Satellite work is done by AEA PK-96 and PK-2232 TNC's.
I have WAS and VUCC on Satellite. And now I'm getting close to WAS on 6 meters.... So I try and leave a receiver on 6 more and more lately. Give me a shout!
