VHF / UHF Repeaters

Repeater Frequency Coordinating bodies across the US and Canada

My interest in Amateur Radio has spread into VHF/UHF repeaters. I have my own repeater in Milwaukee on 442.425MHz (127.3PL required). It's built from GE Delta II radios, SCom 5K controller and DB Products 4 bay commercial antenna. My thants to KA9FUR Dave and N9NPB Mike for a lot of help in getting it all going. I am also involved with many other repeaters and clubs around the Milwaukee Area.

My interest in repeaters has evolved to my current position of Chairman of the Wisconsin Association of Repeaters (W.A.R.). My work with W.A.R. is mostly administrative, writing articles for our newsletter, developing meeting agendas, and sorting out the occasional "issue" that comes up in coordinating frequencies for new repeaters within the crowded spectrum space we have to work with, especially in the 2 meter band. W.A.R. maintains close contact with similar groups in the surrounding states, to ensure compatibility and noninterference of repeater systems. We hold 3 meetings per year, these are open meetings and ALL are invited to attend. For further information please see the Wisconsin Association of Repeaters WWW page, or send me a note.
