APRS Engineering MIM/Mic-Lite Module

Features:

  • Complete 1200-baud, AX.25, TNC transmit operation.
  • Telemeters 5 analog signals (8-bit resolution) and 8 digital bits of data.
  • Telemeters GPS position if a GPS receiver is attached.
  • Can send any NMEA 0183 sentence.
  • Position reports are APRS compatible.
  • Transmits Beacon text and CW ID (20 wpm).
  • All transmissions are sent automatically at user-selectable intervals.
  • All transmission types are individually enabled or disabled by the user.
  • User-programmable digipeat path containing up to 8 hops.
  • All user selections (Call sign, digipeat path, transmission intervals, beacon text, etc.) are stored in EEPROM and can be changed whenever desired using the supplied PC software and your computer's serial port.
  • Provides capability for "Hold off" to ensure the channel is clear before transmitting.
  • All components are surface mount except the PIC16C73 microcontroller which is in a socket for easy firmware upgrades. Size: 1.0" x 1.7".
  • May be powered by an unregulated supply (6.5-40 VDC) or a regulated 5 VDC.
  • Current consumption is less than 15 mA. If the unregulated supply is used, the on-board voltage regulator can supply an additional 85 mA for other user applications.
