Dorothy K Dean decided not to run for another term. A new Milwaukee County Treasurer was elected in November, 2004 to take office January 3, 2005.	The strengthening of our democracy is not done through fear and intimidation of anyone. Those tactics are the breeding ground for tyranny. There are many voices in our democracy who are concerned about erosion of basic, fundamental liberties in this time of the imperial, un-elected presidency.
