Other children of John & Margaret BRUMPTON, who survived childhood (bapt Walesby) were John 1834 & Cornelius 1840, (born Market Rasen) Mary 1843, Thomas, 1845, Emma abt 1847, Jabez abt 1849 and Susannah abt 1857. Both these BRUMPTON & ATKINSON families moved to Sheffield from Market Rasen around 1867.

The family went to Illinois after arrival and then to Weber Co. Utah by 1856. The widow ELDRED and family migrated to Nevada after 1860 and were in Inyo Co. California by 1880. Any information about this family would be most appreciated.

Jonathan worked as hear farm foreman for Lord Yarborough at Brocklesby Hall near Scunthorpe. He went as Landlord to the Crown Inn at Owersby where he had a lorry which he used to carry goods. Benjamin had a fleet of buses in the Caistor, market Rasen, Grimsby area and later farmed. I would love to be able to find Jonathan's wife and parents.

I am mainly interested in William Tom as he, like me was a painter and some of his work is in the Lincoln Art Gallery, but many works lost in a fire at the Lincoln College of Art in 1958. This CARSELDINE was illiterate, hence the mis-spelling of his name upon arrival in AUS.

Shipping records show the family as CE, yet death/burial records show them as Presbyterian.
