I am researching my ancestors from Lincolnshire, but I have very little
information. All I know is that BARNES started in England and immigrated

Thomas and William, who according to family lore, were born in Lincolnshire.
Thomas had John Thomas Barnes (9/1852) who married Susannah Lush in Brigus
Newfoundland and the family expanded from there. I realize this is not alot
of information, but to start our search in England, this is about all that
we have. I am currently awaiting a birth certificate for my grandfather to
trace his parents and then finally to trace Thomas and William. Any help
would be appreciated.

SELWAY
SURNAME: WORTLEY/WORTHLEY
I am trying to find information for my family history on Thomas WORTLEY
(WORTHLEY). He was baptised 23 Feb 1840 in Londonthorpe, Lincs. He is present
on the 1881 Belton census with his wife Mary WILLIS and children. I have
tried looking at a fiche of the area which is how I got his baptism date
but other then that I have not much information. His father is John Wortley
and his wife Mary WILLIS b.1840 in Walkeringham Notts. They must have
married around 1866/7 as their first child was born in 1868 in Manthorpe,
nr Grantham. What I ideally would like would be a marriage date and place,
if indeed they did marry in Lincs. And a lead to find out about his parents
and siblings. His father is John but that is all I have. I couldn't make
out his mother's name on the fiche, it looked like Gamen ? If anyone has
access to the 1841 census and can look up the family that would be wonderful.
Or has access to parish records, marraiges and births to obtain any other
information about his siblings and his parents. I have all his children but
am having trouble getting further back. And of course any advice on how to
obtain other information on this family. Your help would be so appreciated.

I have been researching my FRAPE family anecstors, most of whom were located
in Gloucestershire, but on the IGI I found that there was a branch of the

a Nicholas FRAPPE who came to England from Tournai in Belgium in 1565 but

to 1522. The earliest FRAPE in Lincolnshire would appear to be a Thomas FRAPE

Daughter Violet, born in S. Wales, Carmarthen; aged 10
Daughter Lily, born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire; Aged 7
Daughter May, born in Shardlow, Derbyshire; aged 5
Daughter Dorothy, born in East Grinstead, Sussex, aged 1
Dorothy BROWN was my Great Grandmother, her birthday was 10/31/1899. She
came to America on the Saxonia, Manifest Line 0027, on May 30th, 1919. I
think she married my Great Grandfather in England and his name was James
Robert Young (he was an American soldier in WWI at the time and may have
been listed as Robert James). Dorothys father was a florist and/or
botanist (hence the floral names of his daughters), and my understanding
is that he was very knowledgeable in that field. Thats all I have!
I would greatly appreciate any assistance, recommendations, or advice.

may have been where Eliza was born. William had a brother, John Campbell
