Donington (probably in Holland but maybe on Bain). Children: Thomas, b. 1754
Frampton and two daughters who died young. Thomas went to live with Francis4
at Revesby/Mareham-le-Fen after father's death in 1767. Christopher m2 Ester
PRESTON 1761 Frampton, another son and daughter, then died 1767 Frampton.
The son, Joseph, moved to Coningsby 1787. His two sons were mentioned in
Francis4's will as was Thomas. It is likely Christopher was the son of one
of Francis's brothers, if they survived and married. He might have been a
younger brother to Francis4. I have not seen details of Francis3 and Elizabeth
(BANKS) burials or wills hence no help in establishing Christopher's birth
or parentage. I am looking for any information about baptisms of anyone called
LAKE in the time period 1700 - 1730 in Lincs north of Spalding & east
of Lincoln except for the children of Francis or Joseph LAKE. Also a marriage
or reference to a wife of anyone called LAKE 1712 - 1730 in the same region,
except Francis or Joseph, is sort. Any mention of anyone called LAKE in the
same part of Lincolnshire 1720 - 1753 also sort. Can anyone help?

1. Sir Thomas CHENEY (K.G.) was Treasurer of the Household of Henry VIII
and Edward VI and Privy Councellor under Mary and Elizabeth. His residence
was Shurland House, Isle of Sheppy, Kent.
2. Frances CHENEY, the illegitimate d/o Sir Thomas, born Bennington ca 1542.
She married a William CHENEY from Fenn Ditton, Cambridgeshire (relationship
between these two unknown).
3. John CHENEY (ca 1568-1623) was a warden of his parish and is buried in
Bennington. He m. Elizabeth (?) who was buried 12 Jun 1614. They had 10 children
between 1596 and 1614 in Bennington: two sons were named John, one born 30
Jun 1605, the other born 09 Nov 1609.
4. A John CHENEY was the s/o John CHENEY (#3).
5. A John CHENEY arrived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1635 with wife
Martha and four children - Mary, Martha, John and Daniel. In 1636 John and
family moved to Newbury, the family home for several generations. The following
documentation is sought: Did Frances and William have a son John b. ca 1568
and is he the one buried in Bennington 21 Mar 1623? Founders of the Mass.
Bay Colony sailed from Boston (Lincs.) ca 1633. Did other settlers sail from
there in 1634/5? If so, was John CHENEY and family passengers?
