and died in 1874 in England. They had at least one son, John Henry HOWITT
who was born in 1851 in Bitchfield, Lincolnshire, England. From this information
on John Henry, I can assume that GG-Grandfather HOWITT lived in the same
area.

Richard MASSINGHAM b ca 1866 in Ruskington Lincs emigrated with his brother
James MASSINGHAM. Richard lived the rest of his life in Maryborough and died
in 1959.
We have no record of the names of James and Richards parents. We would be
very interested to hear from anyone who can fill in any of James and Richards
ancestory.

I am trying to follow up and research my mothers family name. BUTTON. I have
found out that my great grandfather was Alfred BUTTON who was married to
Rebecca BUTTON (nee BARNABY). They left to come to New Zealand on the SS
Collingwood on 13 April 1875. At that time they had 3 children, George, Tom
and Harriett. Harriett died on the voyage, as did Alfred, but my Grandfather
(my mothers father) was born shortly after the rest of the family made it
to NZ. In fact my grandfather was born on the quarantine station at Sommes
Island in Wellington, NZ.
My Grandfather died when my mother was only about 2 or 3, so the only information
I have been able to find out has been through records available here in NZ.

and family came to USA about 1852 "in a sailing vessel" Oral history says

born in 1649 and died 1708. In 1674 he married a Elizabeth BRADDOCK at St.

to go back as far as a WILLIAM DUCKMANTON, born in 1788 and he married a
Catherine CARTWRIGHT who was born in 1791. Any help would be greatly

Vera Jane b.11 6 1890. Vera Jane was born in Australia. On the birth cert
of Vera Jane is Hensingby Lincoln as the birth place of her parents Joseph
and Jane. I have searched and all I can find is Hemingby, Lincoln. This has
got me stuck on a branch. Any help would be appreciated.

& Ann WAKEFIELD married @ The Register Office in Boston on 26.12.1878.
Living @ the time in Sibsey. They had two children @ the time of the 1881
census, my grandfather Byron b.16.03.1879 & a daughter Lucy aged 9/12.
They were living then @ Benington. George's father, was named William &
Ann's father was named Edward on their marriage cert. Any help would be welcome.

Charles VAUX 30, Alice VAUX 38, Mary VAUX 5 and Eliza VAUX 3, who sailed
to Victoria on the ship Almora in 1856. Eliza Hannah VAUX was born in 1853
at Claybank, Lincolnshire. Would like to hear from anyone who has any information
on the VAUX family in Lincolnshire.
