I want to personally thank you for buying and selling these bands. I truly believe that this project will be an enormous success. It will not only raise money for the ASF, but it will also increase awareness about AS. I cringe every time I meet someone and they say, “I have never heard of Angelman Syndrome”. It happens everywhere, even in the hospital.

When my daughter approached me about selling bands, I thought, “that’s a neat idea”. After all, I wear a yellow LIVESTRONG band. I don’t have cancer and thank God no one in my family has had cancer. I wear it because I liked the concept. I donated because it was an easy way to contribute to a worthy organization. This got me thinking, if the core group of people who have been "touched by an Angel" unite in the common cause to sell these blue bands, this might actually work. I have set a goal to sell 25,000 bands. This may seem high but I believe in the power of the individuals who God has entrusted his precious Angels to.

Please consider buying extra bands. Each band comes individually packaged and includes a perforated card with a description of AS. Be bold, ask people everywhere you go if they would like to buy one. This is a great way to increase awareness. Most people will buy a band from you and if they don’t you still told one more person about AS. Because of you, there is one less person who has "never heard of AS." It is up to all of us, at home, school, work, at the doctor’s, grocer’s, or therapy center, we all have the opportunity to sell countless bands. Set your goals higher than ever before. We are all players in the Band of Angels!
