Charlotte's Story

From the time she was little, Michelle loved animals so we should not have been surprised to learn that she had asked to adopt one of the three puppies she was photographed with.

The dogs were in route to the USA when Michelle died.  Sgt. Salisbury, of the 32nd MP Company, arranged for the adoption of the dogs through an organization called Military Mascots and his family and many other volunteers got them to Wisconsin. They arrived in Milwaukee on May 5th, 2004.

Charlotte UPDATE: (Sept 2004)

Charlotte is moving.  Although we love Charlotte, it turns out our small yard and allergic family members are not a good match for this energetic puppy.  We have worked with SGT Salisbury of the 32nd MP Company to find an experienced dog owner, with room for Charlotte to roam, who is willing to adopt Charlotte.

Charlotte has grown to over 30 pounds and has amazed us with her ability to dig a two-feet deep hole in a matter of seconds.  She has recently lost her puppy fur and is maturing into a beautiful animal.
