Ryczek
Ryczek has been spelled Rechek and Recheck. Frank RYCZEK was born about 1856 in Poland (Prussia) and died 26 January 1913 in Westford Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin. The 1910 census indicates that he emigrated in 1886, but I believe that this is incorrect. I believe that he was married to Anna KAZMIERSKI on 5 February 1878 at St. Michael's in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
They had at least two children: Frances, born 8 Nov 1879 and Appolonia, born 25 Jan 1885 (from church records). They may have also had 2 boys, Frank born in 1886 and John born in 1887. I also suspect that they may have had a couple of girls in 1879 to 1885 period. Anna Kazmierski-Ryczek died 22 March 1887.
Frank subsequently married Michaelene (Lena) GMIEREK and they had the following children: Josephine, b. 9 Oct 1888, d. 10 Jul 1911 (my great-grandmother), Anna, b. 5 Mar 1890, d. 24 Jan 1980, Mary Bertha, b. 15 Sep 1892, d. 27 Jan 1986, Stanislaus (Stencil) b. 15 Mar 1894, d. 1 May 1974,
Magdalene Margaret (Lena) b. 29 Feb 1896, d. unknown, prior to 1986, Sophie Bertha (Bertie) b. 10 Oct 1898, d. 1949, Walter Ladislaus b. 21 Apr 1900, d. 16 Jan 1986 and Cecelia b. 3 Nov 1902, d. unknown, prior to 1986.
Frank Ryczek's mother, Anna, lived with him and his family and died 23 Dec 1909 and on the 1905 census it states that a brother, Anthony, was living with him.
Information that I am seeking is: town where Frank came from and the name of his father, names of relatives who settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, any information on Francis Wichinski, who fathered my grandmother (Martha Rechek) by Josephine, and more complete information on the children of Anna Kazmierski and Frank Ryczek. Please contact Clare Guse if you have information. (5/96)
