I do know that my family originated on the Island of Rugen from my and my son's search. I would appreciate any help that you might give me. I am waiting for a heart transplant and I would like to know as much about the name as possible before I have my operation. Maybe, if I learn enough, I might try to arrange a visit to the relatives that I never knew. Please contact Charles L. Abshagen with information. (6/96)
