Father and son you have gone to
rest. Your toils and cares are o'er
and sorrow, pain and suffering now
shall n'er disturb you more.

Let not your heart be troubled ye,
believe in God, believe also in me.

Take glory in motherhood
and hug you child in your arms.
A hug is your circle of love.
Reserved especially
for your children.
(mom on mothers day 1982)

When a mans ways please
the Lord. He makith even
his enemies to be at
peace with him.

No more we'll mourn the
absent one.
But lift our earnest prayer
and daily every effort bend
to rise and join him there.

A butterfly lights beside us
like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment
its glory and beauty
belong to the world.
but then it flies on again.
And though we wish
it could have stayed.
We feel so lucky
to have seen it.
- (age 3 ½ years. 1984- 1988)

Dearest loved one we have laid thee
in the peaful graves embrace.
But thy memory will be cherished.
Till we see thy heavenly face.

O how short it will be, it that
beautiful land
So free from all sorrow and pain
With songs on our lips, with harps
in our hands.
To meet one another again.

We mourn but not of hope bereft
We weep in joy and pain
We grieve for oh' our loss is great
Our loss to you is gain.
A fathers grave to see
Not long ago I was wit
Children dear assembled her

Dear wife farewell I go to dwell
With Jesus Christ on high
There is song, praise to my King
To all eternity.

Ye children dear assembled here
A fathers grave to see
Not long ago I was with you
But soon you will be with me.

Ye laid thy body here to rest
Thy spirit lives in heaven
Now thou art numbered with the blest
To thee eternal life is given.

This world is vain
And full of rain
With cares and crosses sore
But they are blest
Who are at rest
With Christ for evermore.

Oh my country
How sure I loved
Thee. On my youth I
fought for. Sought and
saw thy prosperity.
Free all thy sons
May thy freedom
Be universal and perpetual.
I leave thee.
