EAGLE AWARDS – Congratulations to the following students who received the Eagle Award for September. This award is given to those students who display outstanding Christian character: Collin H.’, Sullivan S., Seth M., Alexa P., Emilly T., Symon S., Emily P., Jeremy H., Kagen F., Tyler K., Taylor B., Andrew C. and Phillip T. PB&J WRAP UP – Concordia collected 131 pounds of peanut butter and jelly this year. We surely helped many through your generous giving. Thank you! CHAPEL OFFERINGS for the months of November and December will be directed to the growing Lutheran ministry in Joao Pessoa, Brazil. Our dollars will be used to help support a much needed vicar (“pastor in training”) to work with the current Pastor in the Lutheran Church in Joao Pessoa. The children are excited about working toward the goal of providing one month’s salary ($666.67) for a vicar to help grow the church in Brazil. If every child contributed a total of $4.00 in the offering gifts over the next two months we would reach that easily (that is about 67 cents weekly). Please help us meet or exceed this goal. Our offerings last week totaled $50.34. MARKET DAY – Check out the delicious assortment of cookie choices available through this month’s flyer….just in time for the holidays. There are plenty of other festive foods to make your meal planning easy and delicious, too. Orders are due back to school by Friday, November 14th. Pick up is scheduled for Monday, November 24th (as there is no school on Wednesday of that week). Please get your order in and mark your calendar now with the pick up date. “GOTCHAS” This week’s winners received a can of Pringles chips to enjoy at school or at home. A VERSE TO REMEMBER “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” (Psalm 133:1) Thought for the day: Ask God to help you enlarge your circle of love by taking in people of all types, colsors, and backgrounds. Pray for eyes to see into people’s heart and expect to enjoy a great day. |
