M101, taken at New Mexico Skies on May 28, 2003 with a Nikkor 800mm lens at f/5.6.  Exposure time was one hour, using 35mm E200 slide film, processed normally. Guiding was done with an ST-4 through a Meade ETX90.  At lower right is NGC 5474, an 11.5 magnitude galaxy.
