On Oct. 27, 2004, the total lunar eclipse was well placed for North American observers, at least for those who were not watching the Red Sox win the World Series. At Harrington Beach State Park in Wisconsin, a bank of clouds obscured the event shortly after totality, but the streaks made by incoming clouds made for a more interesting photograph. This image was made with  Nikon D100 and a 300mm f/2.8 lens with a 2x teleconverter. The ISO was set at 200 for this 8-second exposure.
